A week ago, Tara, Alfred (Tara’s brother), Susan (my Mom) and myself all started a round of HCG together! Here’s a picture of all of us together last Christmas.

Since we were all moving in together, we decided it would be the perfect opportunity to start fresh and since we’re all living together it would be easier to eat and support each other.  Today we’re sharing Tara and Alfred’s week 1 result and tomorrow will be mine and my moms.  If you have any questions for us please feel free to leave them in the comments below.

What round of HCG is this for you?

How much weight did you lost in the first 7 days?

11 lbs

What has been the most challenging thing about week one?

Low energy from moving and working long hours in the kitchen.

What has been you biggest win?

Losing 11 lbs. in one week is the most I’ve ever lost!  Since I work in a kitchen, I’ve had to learn how to be around food all the time and not cheat.  Once of the easiest way I deal with this is simply making a protein shake for lunch (using Jay Robb protein powder available here) and eat a piece of fruit after.

Any tips & tricks you learned this week worth sharing?

If you feeling tired and hungry, try adding a starbucks via (or other instant coffee) to your protein shake.  It taste AMAZING.

What has been the most challenging thing about week one?

Since we just moved and everything is new it’s hard not only adjusting my life but what I’m eating.  It was mostly hard becuase I was simply exhausted from moving (I would not recomment starting the HCG protocol when you’re moving if it’s your first time).

What has been you biggest win?

Usually when I move I eat a ton of crappy food and spend a lot on take out food, becuase I was on HCG, I had to plan a bit better and make food resulting in losing weight and saving money (double plus).

Any tips & tricks you learned this week worth sharing?

A good way I keep myself accountable while on the diet is sharing with my coworkers and people around me that I am on the diet.  Everyone I tell is super supportive, but asked me about the diet so it helps me stay motivated and reminds me not to cheat.
